Battlefield V's Real-Time Ray Tracing Is Supported by Nvidia Titan V

A new GPU from Nvidia, the Titan V, was released in 2017. The Titan V appears to have a variety of uses, including large data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence research. Though it lacks RT cores, the Titan V can run Battlefield V with ray tracing, according to the most recent report. This is a welcome development in light of Nvidia’s 2018 debut of its RTX GPU series, which features RT cores necessary for real-time ray tracing. In addition, the Titan V uses Volta frameworks, whereas Nvidia’s GeForce RTX uses Turing frameworks.

During testing of Battlefield V on the Nvidia Titan V, it stated that real-time ray tracing was enabled on the $2999 GPU, and that it could run the game at 1440p with the Ultra visual option at around 80fps in most circumstances.

A new set of software tools released this week by Nvidia is an attempt, as the company asserted before, to take a bigger slice of the corporate computing industry away from better rival Intel Corp. Nvidia expects to move beyond the rapidly expanding but still relatively tiny AI processor market with its new tool, codenamed RAPIDS. For the larger market of processors that handle core business information crunching, such as anticipating inventories, the company is planning. At a conference in Germany, Nvidia introduced the tool.

As early as the 1990s, Nvidia was developing graphics chips to help video games appear more realistic. A new use for its processors in data centres is to speed up AI training by simulating them as “accelerators” and plugging them into data hubs. Intel’s all-around computing CPUs can’t be directly replaced by Nvidia’s chips.###
